THE TAJIK AND UAE DELEGATIONS HAD HIGH-LEVEL TALKS
On April 9 Emomali Rakhmon, President of Tajikistan, left for the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
In the international airport of Abu-Dhabi he was met by the UAE high-ranking officials, working group of the Tajik delegation and the UAE Guard of Honour.
The official reception ceremony took place on the same day near the Al-Mushrif Palace, situated in the Capital of the country.
In honour of the Tajik President’s visit the flags of the two countries were hoisted and the UAE Guard of Honour was present.
On completing the ceremony heads of the states held a tete-a-tete meeting, during which a number of issues on cooperation of Tajikistan and UAE were discussed.
The detailed discussion of the above-mentioned issues was joined by the delegations of both countries.
It was mentioned, that favourable investment climate in Tajikistan presented transition to a new stage of economical relations, attracting investments to the spheres of power engineering, transport, food and light industry, mining operations and tourism.
Participants expressed their intention to consolidate bilateral cooperation through signing various documents and joined efforts of Intergovernmental Commission and Entrepreneurs’ Council.
In the course of the meeting the acute problems concerning the escalating situation in the Near and Middle East were discussed. Participants displayed their anxiety on account of barriers to reciprocal cooperation in the region and stressed the role of Mouslem countries in prevention of religious and cultural opposition.
On the same day Emomali Rakhmon held a number of meetings with heads of ministries and powerful companies, during which economical relations of mutual benefit and attracting investments were discussed.
