Dushanbe, 02.07.2014. (NIAT “Khovar”).- On June 30, Tajikistan’s Ambassador in Belarus Kozidavlat Koimdodov on the eve of Independence Day and the 70th anniversary of Belarus liberation, visited secondary school №35 named after the Hero of the Soviet Union Domullo Azizov in Minsk.
The Ambassador congratulated the staff of the school with coming holidays and stressed that in the years of the great Patriotic war, the Tajik people actively participated in the battles for the liberation of Belarus land from fascist invaders, some of which remained at the battleground. “Recently another five citizens of Tajikistan were awarded the jubilee medal “70-anniversary of liberation of Belarus Republic from fascist invaders”, in Dushanbe”- he has noted.
K. Koimdodov thanked the Belarusian side for careful attitude to the memory of heroes and veterans who participated in these battles. The Ambassador, noting the importance of the education of the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism, friendship and brotherhood, said that the Tajik side is planning to organize a study tour for representatives of high school to Homeland of the hero - the Republic of Tajikistan.
At the end of the meeting in honor of the holiday Ambassador presented gifts to the school staff, in particular books about the history and modern life of Tajikistan.
